The Role

Head of DevOps at a leading Software as a Service (SaaS) company that designs innovative training packages for global companies. This confidential C-level position demanded a candidate with advanced technical skills in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and SaaS. Beyond technical expertise, the role also required strong leadership and team management abilities.

Their Need

The company was seeking a candidate from a niche talent pool, which necessitated headhunting candidates from local competitors or similar-sized SaaS companies. The skill set required was highly sought-after, making the recruitment process even more challenging. Given the high demand for the required skill set, the recruitment process was anticipated to be complex. The company needs a recruitment partner capable of delivering high-quality outreach, maintaining excellent communication, and deeply understanding the needs of potential candidates.

Our Fix

  • Our approach to meeting these needs involved a multi-pronged strategy. We utilized headhunting tactics, job advert copywriting, and our CRM system to engage passive candidates. We also leveraged our network and referrals to identify potential candidates.
  • Our process was thorough and rigorous. We engaged with 25 prospective candidates, from which we longlisted 10 and shortlisted 5.  Out of these, 4 candidates were interviewed, and 2 moved to the 2nd/3rd stage.
  • One of the challenges we faced was salary negotiation due to budget constraints. However, we managed this alongside the counter-offer, ultimately ensuring the successful hiring of the candidate.
